The short version: this site measures traffic with Google Analytics, measures which ads lead to booked calls with Google Ads, and uses Cal.com to schedule those calls. In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland nothing measurement-related runs until you accept the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Who is responsible for your data
This site, otimizagency.com, is operated by Otimiz, run by Bastien Daumas. Operator details are on the legal notice page. For anything related to your data, write to bastien@otimizagency.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not required to have one.
What we collect and why
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Q15DNPVCMF) to understand how the site is used: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. We use this to improve the site. It does not tell us who you are.
Google Ads conversion tracking
We run Google Ads, so we measure whether a visit that started from one of our ads ends in a booked call. This uses Google's conversion tracking (account AW-18282123756). It tells us which ads work. It does not build a profile of you on this site.
Click identifiers (GCLID)
When you arrive from a Google ad, the URL carries a click identifier (a GCLID or similar). We store that identifier, along with the campaign tags from the URL, in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. Its only job is to connect a call you might book later back to the ad click that brought you here. It is only stored if your consent state allows ad storage.
Enhanced Conversions
If you book a call and your consent state allows it, the email address you enter is sent to Google in hashed, secure form so Google can match the booking to the ad click for measurement. Google cannot read the email itself, only compare the hash against its own records. If you have declined cookies, this does not happen.
Booking a call
Call bookings run on Cal.com, which processes the name, email address, and time slot you provide in order to schedule the call and send you the invite. We then use those details to prepare for and follow up on the call, which is the reason you gave them to us.
If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your request or the work that follows from it.
Cookies and your choices
The site uses Google Consent Mode v2. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, analytics and ad measurement are off by default and a banner asks for your choice before anything is stored. Elsewhere, measurement runs by default and no banner is shown. Either way, your choice is saved in your browser and respected on every visit.
You can change your mind at any time. Every page has a Cookie settings link in the footer that reopens the banner, and declining turns off analytics storage, ad storage, ad personalization, and the use of your data for Enhanced Conversions. You can also clear the stored data yourself by deleting this site's cookies and local storage in your browser.
Who receives data
Three companies process data on our behalf, each for the purpose described above: Google (analytics and ad measurement), Cal.com (call scheduling), and Hostinger (website hosting, which involves standard server logs). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Click identifiers and campaign tags: up to 90 days, stored in your own browser.
- Your cookie choice: stored in your browser until you change it or clear it.
- Analytics and conversion data: retained by Google under our Google Analytics and Google Ads retention settings.
- Booking details and email correspondence: as long as needed to handle the request or engagement, then deleted.
Your rights
If you are covered by the GDPR or UK GDPR, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before you withdrew it. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. In France that is the CNIL.
To exercise any of these rights, email bastien@otimizagency.com. We will answer without undue delay and at the latest within one month.
Changes to this policy
